The Māori Affairs Select Committee is now hearing submissions pertaining to the New Plymouth District Council (Waitara Lands) Bill. If passed into law this bill will create new provisions for the sale and ownership of Waitara ‘endowment land’ – circa 164 hectares presently held in six special administrative categories
