Late last month Kono NZ, (a business of Wakatū Incorporation), announced the sale of its seafood business, Kono Seafood, to Talleys. The business grows and exports mussels and employs circa 300 people in Te Tau Ihu. Talleys is expected to reemploy a large number of these staff.
