Last Saturday an agreement in principle to settle treaty grievances was entered into between Ngāti Rēhua and the Crown. Ngāti Rēhua is located on Great Barrier Island and will receive financial redress of $4.6 million, and cultural redress, which includes the transfer of part of Hirakimatā and Ōkiwi Recreation Reserves
