Matiu Dickson (Ngāi te Rangi and Ngāti Ranginui) has been appointed to the Council of Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi. Maxine Moana-Tuwhangai (Tainui and Ngāti Maniapoto) has been appointed to the Waikato Institute of Technology
