On Thursday a preliminary hearing seeking a return to mediation for the eight iwi involved in the Central North Island (CNI) iwi treaty settlement was held. The eight iwi are Ngāti Rangitihi, Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Whare, Ngāti Manawa, and a confederation of Te Arawa
