Deputy Chief Judge of the Māori Land Court, Karen Fox, has now been appointed as Acting Chief Judge of that Court. Deputy Chairperson of the Waitangi Tribunal, Judge Sarah Reeves, has been appointed as Acting Chairperson of that Tribunal. Wally Penetito has received the Te Whare Pūkenga Award (living treasure)
